The Nage
Eurotackle is no stranger to the finesse game. In fact, since its inception in 2015, the company has built its brand around providing finesse and micro finesse options for fishermen across the world. Options range from soft plastics to hard baits to terminal tackle.
Perhaps the most infamous of such offerings came in the form of a 1-inch lipless crankbait, the Z-Viber. At the time, the lure was the smallest ever developed in its category. Since its introduction, a number of manufacturers, including Eurotackle, have worked to create even small options.
To expand on finesse category, the company launched a variety of hard baits options, appropriately named the Z-Series. Such options include a micro jerkbait (Z-Spender), crankbait (Z-crankbait), popper (Z-Popper), and jigging bait (Z-Darter). Two additional offerings are planned for release in 2025 to round out the lineup. As a result, ownership felt it was important to look at new categories.
Enter, a three-segment shad shaped swimbait, with a name that’s only rivaled by its natural swimming action. The Nage (pronounced nah-zh) features a realistic design and interchangeable fin which helps to enhance the overall action.
“The focus of this project was to develop a compact swimbait with a really versatile action,” says Ben Vnh, owner of Eurotackle. “The Nage offers a natural lifelike appearance, but I wanted something that could do more. You can fish it fast, slow and anywhere in between and it also doubles as a gliding bait that you can slowly twitch. “
The Nage is offered in two different sizes – 2.75 inches (3/16 oz) and 4.75 inches (7/8 oz) – the former of which is one of the smallest swimbaits on the market. Both options are armed with BKK treble hooks to ensure high hook up ratios.
“When we were looking for a name, we knew it needed to be something different, something that captured how cool this product really is,” says Blake Tollefson. “We have a lot of great products with great names, but nothing that really has that European influence to it. I asked Ben how to say swim in French – when he said ‘nage’ I knew that was it.” A poll of the team’s pro staff resulted in a unanimous decision. “In all honesty, I wasn’t sold on the name at first,” adds Ben. “But, after hearing it and seeing it again and again, I knew it was perfect – a great way to pay some homage to my native language of French.”
The Nage will be available for purchase in early September. MSRP will start at $13.99. It is offered in six realistic color schemes including: Threadfin Shad, Rainbow Trout, Baby Bluegill, Alibglow, Alewife, and Mauviz.

Will you send out an early alert for the September drop of the Nage? I’d like a chance to buy all six colors offered in the 2.75"(3/16).
